This year for Spring Break we decided to head to California! Most of our vacation was spent at Disneyland but we did take a day to go to the beach and this was a definite highlight for me! Carson wasn't so sure about the sand when we first let him down but it didn't take long for him to adjust and enjoy himself. He ran his fingers through the sand and even sampled a few bites, nasty! I loved watching my baby experience something totally new.
Tanner was all about dipping his toes in the ocean until a wave completely knocked him over. After that offense he was just plum happy to play in the sand. To say the least, it was a very long 20 minute drive back to the hotel bath tub for this little one!
These two adventure boys were in heaven! As you can see from the pictures, it was a gray cloudy day and not necessarily warm but that didn't stop my boys from plunging into the ocean! They crashed the waves, hunted for seashells and wrote their names in the sand. Benson and Porter absolutely loved the beach!
The beach is one of our favorite places. We've been blessed to see it multiple times together and every time it is just as moving. It is so peaceful and yet so powerful. We walked in the sand together and watched our four little boys take in the beach in their own little ways. We had a wonderful day!
